In the majority of cases if a car appears on elmsDirect.com, it is available. On very rare occasions, in spite of every effort we make to provide you with up to date information, a car may be reserved almost simultaneously by two different customers. If that is the case, we refund the deposit to the last person who tried to reserve the car.

Every car listed on elmsDirect.com is HPI checked and has successfully passed a 120-point mechanical inspection.

Our new cars come with a three-year warranty.

All of our Approved Used BMW and MINIs come with the balance of the manufacturer's warranty or a minimum of a 12-month warranty from us if the car is over three years old. Cars purchased from Myltons Cars, our non-franchised used car dealership, come with a minimum of a 3 month warranty.

All of our Approved Used BMW and MINIs have a full service history. Most of the cars from Myltons Cars, our non-franchised used car dealership, have a full service history too. However, if we find a really good quality car that has partial history we will make this clear on our online listing. Whichever the case, the service history is always clearly detailed (including scans of the service records where applicable) in each car listing.

Myltons Cars offers an extensive collection of quality used cars at rock-bottom prices. We'll soon be selling cars from some of the UK's largest leasing companies and have exclusive access to their stock before they enter the open market. That means we can offer these cars at prices which a typical franchised dealer or car supermarket can't match.

Yes. For each car we list, a copy of the MOT is shown on the details page. Every Approved Used car is supplied with 12 months’ MOT. Cars from Myltons are supplied with a minimum of three months’ MOT. If a car has less than three months remaining at the date of purchase, we will give it a full 12 months prior to delivery.

The car tax (Vehicle Excise Duty) depends on the CO2 emissions, which is indicated for all our cars in the ‘specifications’ tab. We detail how much the tax will cost for both 6 and 12 months to make your purchasing decision that little bit easier.

No, although we do offer service plans depending on the age of the car and the number of previous owners.

We take every care in making our online listings as accurate as possible. We want to make sure the car in the metal looks exactly the same as on the website. We process hundreds of cars every month, though, and can't promise 100% accuracy all the time. We might once in a while miss a little scratch or have a sub-par photo. If this happens in spite of our best efforts, we will either restore the car to the condition shown in the photographs or adjust the price accordingly. Yes, this is one of the points in our 120-point inspection and we show clear images of the tyre treads on all listings.

We try to be as transparent as possible in providing you with all the information you need to buy one of our cars. If we find a damaged area on the car when we inspect it, we either repair it or list it as a condition point for you to see in the condition viewer. Some minor imperfections that are commensurate with a car's age and mileage would be considered acceptable and will be clearly visible from the car photographs or from the condition viewer.
